b o u s t r o p h e d o n : exhibition in madrid

i am currently working on an installation with artist Paola Romero in Madrid, Spain at gallery Espacio F (calle fuencarral). for the past two years we have been keeping dream diaries. on the walls of the exhibition space, we are writing out our dreams left to right (writing forwards), then right to left (writing backwards), following the same pattern as the ancient Greeks, in their writing and in the way they plowed their fields. we will write out the dreams and then erase pieces, write and erase parts... something similar to the effect of time on memories.

thoughts on collage

despite all my recent talk about my return to oil painting, i have not stopped drawing. i decided to add some collage elements to the drawings, giving myself a spring board to work from and react to. i have really been enjoying the narratives that have surfaced in these pieces.
